Ingredients
7 cups ketchup
7 cups blackberry pure
1.5 cup brown sugar
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup whiskey or bourbon
2 tbs hot honey
2 tbs spicy brown mustardÂ
2 tbs worcestershire
1 tbs liquid smoke
1 tbs kosher saltÂ
1 tbs cracked black pepper
¼ cup bbq rub (see recipe in Components category)
Preparation
1. Mix all ingredients in a large stock pot.
2. Heat until you achieve a rolling boil.
3. Reduce by half – or to desired consistency.
